Rajni film,  written by a biased die hard Rajni  fan...
Your opinion might differ from mine.
This was a Rajni celebration day..

My ratings will be as follows(from low to high):

If i have to jump into the review!!

Murugadoss has done some work on the script. 
Some scenes sound good on paper. But fails on screen.
Somewhere in the middle of the movie i felt murgadoss wanted to make Thuppaki based thriller, But something kept pulling him down.

Some scenes where he takes prisoners help to track the villain.
There are some logical mistakes , scenes which could make you to think. if this could have happened in unicorn land with fluffy rainbow clouds..
All the villains speak in tamil without lip sync..

Commissioner ADITYA ARUNACHALAM is appointed as to wipe out drugs in mumbai.
Thalaivar comes in with Hatori hanzo sword(Yes, Tarantino fans i am looking at you).
Rajni plays a single father . Rajni should be synonymous for "ACTION , STYLE , COMEDY and tries to do his best with dance(The man is 69 years old. Give him a break for God's sake.)
He has an screen presence that is AMAZING and exceptional.
The scenes where he emotes with nayathara is actually pretty amazing to watch.


Nivedha Thomas (Damn She's beautiful-I'm looking at you sanjay, YES , YOU.) portray's thalivar's daughter. Her first half deals with she building up for her father. She scores with two beautiful scenes in the second half. She dances good too.

Yogi Babu does make you laugh in most of the comedy he tries.

Villains , First one you remember him more than sunil shetty(There i said it- Deal with it).
Sunil shetty looses out with thalaivar.(Yenda north la nalla irundha actors lam inga kooti vandhu dummy akkurennga).

Sriman comes in one scene and he does his best. The point that he talks is hard hitting for me . Made me realise thalaivar is a human .

Annirudh does good with 2 songs . His strength with this film i would say was with BGM's.

(Paavam da en thalivi Nayanthara dummy aakiteengale, Wish she had more scenes).
Nayathara scenes where she feels creepy by rajni's stalking made me realise rajni plays his age.
 
Some serious moments in hilarious moments and vice versa keeps the film in track.

First half was good for me.

The second half was down hill for me.
Main reason ? - Length of the movie.
Not so strong villains.
Regular revenge part.
Murugadoss should have worked freely on the script. 
Something weighed him down. That's it.

Thalaivar padam thalaivar padam than.
ORU TIME PAKKALAM SIR.
Thought of saying a lot of things , Forgot it(Probably).



My verdict: Average(Better Than petta average).
