Pranavh Tries to review -Viswasam!

Before starting the review ,  I would like to say that I literally went to the film with very little expectations. Bang!the film surprised me!
The film started at a slow pace. In the beginning I wondered why  Ajith Kumar settled for the fourth time with Siva . I also had a preset mindset that at least this film will be better than the previous one .
I have to say that Siva has studied his strengths and weaknesses pretty well. He seems to be comfortable in Village based genre.
Ajith is a "Jeevan" who lives and breathes just for his fans! The man's introduction is good .The screen presence of this man is just massive, amazing and beyond words .
I have to say , the man looks better in silver hair than black. From the second the name THOOKKU DURA was mentioned the fans became restless .
The film kept shifting back and forth from Present to past . The plot is pretty simple , yet in the middle Siva strikes gold.
This is where I liked Ajith, Even during scenes in the movie where he rides a bike , he made sure that  he wore the helmet. Hats off! By doing this he has inspired his fans and public in general to ride safe and to wear helmet.

The master stroke that Siva played here is with the casting, it's just perfect. Let me break this down.
Nayanthara - Damn she is sooooooo gorgeous, beautiful and elegant (my mind kept on saying Vignesh Shivn - lucky you😂🤣).
Anikha- This is the single most, brilliant most move by Siva. She is already known to thala fans as his daughter . Thanks to yennai arindhal , it was an instant connect to this character . I did feel the "PAASAM"/ connect that was between Ajith and Anikha. She has also acted pretty well.

One more interesting thing with this plot is  that there is no actual bad guy in this film . Siva has only expressed the ways in which parents tend to influence their kids.

Before the film's release I heard the songs and they didn't impress me that much. But now,  the songs gelled pretty well with the pace of the film. This is where I need to appreciate Siva . He had purposely made Imman the music director. Do you know what is Imman’s forte?  You guessed it right ! Village based films.The BGM,  I have to say was pretty Excellent.
Everything else in this film was good/average.
Nothing was too bad.
I did feel a lag in the beginning of the film for the first few minutes but I would definitely forgive Siva for that .

Siva is a good man.At the end of the film , I saw that the film was credited as "Siva & team".It shows his sincere effort and hard work.
Will I be able to watch another Siva and Ajith combo film ? If it's not bad , then why not.
This Pongal I think most of the family audience will like Viswasam.
Will I say Viswasam is better than petta?
Yeah- but only a minute milligramme!.
Both the films cater to different audience!
Petta is for mass loving and Rajni centred people, where as Viswasam is for family audience.

My verdict : Above Average.
